Exploring Heraklion: Review by Louisa

Exploring Heraklion: Review by Louisa

Are you from Heraklion? If the answer is yes, then you probably love it no matter what issues you may know or see about it.

But how is our city seen by its visitors? How do they like it and what do they think about it?

Usually Crete summer visitors come to enjoy the beach and to explore the island, sometimes they even come to Heraklion for a few hours or for a day tour. What do they see? What do they discover and what is their opinion about our town?

In this blog we will start a new category, where we will feature opinions and reviews about Heraklion, written by travelers – and we will also post images of those travelers!

We believe that it can be a great opportunity for everyone who wants to:

  • read independent and true reviews about Heraklion
  • read about what other travelers discovered
  • get to know more people who explored the city and
  • spread the word about Heraklion, its atmosphere and its unseen spots!

Not wanting to keep you waiting, lets go to the recent post I discovered by the instagram user @mrs.loewenherz

Louisa visited the city with her friend for a short while but he managed to make great discoveries!

Louisa’s Review

The Cretan capital felt super tiny but full of cozy cafés and boho-styled bars ?. The former redlight district is today full of streetart, streetcats and has a great atmosphere ??☀️ Can‘t wait to explore the rest of the island ?

Thank you Louisa for allowing us to share!
