During these festive days, at Heraklion center, you can visit the Christmas Castle (Χριστουγεννιάτικο Κάστρο) where you will find a number of activities starting from morning till late at night.

And for you who may be wondering who this person is, he depicts the Nutcracker.

The original story was written in 1816 with the title “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King”

The young girl Marie who is the heroine of the story receives a gift that becomes her favorite; a nutcracker who comes to life on Christmas Eve and battles the evil Mouse King.
