The Vision of the Museum is to promote the technological miracle of the Greek antiquity. The Founder, Mr Kotsanas, after his studies as a Mechanical Engineering, dedicated his life studying ancient Greek culture and not only researched, but has created reconstructions of Ancient Greek Technology.

The museum has a very well presented exhibition, where every reconstruction has information in written, is fully functional, and you get to see how it works in a video screen right next to it.

We were very impressed by:
– The welcome we received, the information we were provided with and the politeness of the stuff.
– The place is very well organized, with necessary space between exhibits, which are well presented with respect to the historical surrounding
– The hydraulic endless screw of Archimedes, the first worldwide twin piston for fire-fighting (3rd century BC and 1st century AD – by Ktesibios and Heron), the music technology.
At the museum you will also find  the first alarm clock of Plato, which is the first awakening device in human history, cryptographic devices, specialized surgical tools of the past that reflect the sophisticated medical technology in ancient Greece (and more)

We recommend a visit to this extraordinary museum, where you get to be in a historical mansion, while you are introduced to the impressive
technological achievements of ancient Greeks.
